Take-Along Tote with Carol

The Take-Along Tote is brought to you by Sometimes Sewing. This tote is absolutely perfect for your latest knitting project or can be used as a cute carry-all bag. The Take-Along tote has a pocket, round base, and enough support on the sides to stand up on its own. It’s sure to become one of your favorite bags!
We will be making the smaller version of the bag in class. Small Bag: 6” diameter base; 8.5” tall; 4.5” square pocket
—You should know your way around your sewing machine and have completed a sewing project. You should also be comfortable sewing on a curve. It’s not hard; don’t be intimidated.
—You must purchase a copy of the pattern either online or at Knit One Quilt Too.
—It’s helpful to have a quarter-inch foot for your sewing machine (optional).
— Main fabric: 1 Fat Quarter, OR 1/3 yard (1/3 yd required for directional print). Recommended fabrics include cotton or blended canvas, denim, twill, quilting cotton. The good folks at Knit One Quilt Too can help you with your selection, if you need.
—Lining fabric: 1 Fat Quarter, OR 1/3 Yard (1/3 yd required for directional print) Recommended fabrics same as main fabric.
—1″ Cotton Webbing or other desired handle material: 2/3 yard or we can make a handle from your main material.
—Optional ribbon –1/4” – 1/2” grosgrain ribbon: 3” piece (this is for the loop on the top of the bag for stitch markers – brilliant!)
—Thread to match project.
—Sewing machine. You can also rent one at Knit One Quilt Too.
