Beginning Quilting with Sandy
December 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 1:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until March 4, 2021
First Thursday of every month beginning October 1 3 | 1:00 to 4:00 pm | $35 per session (6 sessions) | Registration required
This is the perfect class for those who want to learn how to make a quilt or for those who have attempted to make a quilt on their own but want to learn all the proper do’s and dont’s. We will cover everything from fabric choices, color, patterns, to proper cutting techniques, how to get those points to remain as points, and end up with a block the proper size.
This quilt is a simple, but fun pattern, and when you have completed it you will have a quilt to be proud of. The finished size will be up to you, along with fabric choices. The only requirement is you must have a sewing machine in good working order and know how to use it. You should have a ¼” foot for the machine. My approach to quilting is if you know how to do it correctly, you will have fun with the process and not be frustrated and end up with something you are not happy with.
The class is held on the first Thursday of every month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. It will be a six-session class beginning Thursday, October 1. The cost is $30 per class of which $5 goes to the shop for the use of the classroom. Payment will be in advance for 3 months at a time. A supply list will be provided prior to the first class. Call the shop at (401) 337-5578 to register.
NOTE: IN OUR EFFORT TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET OUT AND HAVE SOME CREATIVE FUN DURING THIS TIME AND STILL KEEP YOU ALL SAFE, THE CLASS SIZES WILL BE LIMITED AND MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES IN THE CLASSROOM AND THE SHOP.
